From Sunday 7/25 through Saturday, 7/31, we’re proud to host the Indian Motorcycle Demo Fleet on Union Street. We'll have a full fleet of the brand-new FTR model lineup, plus some of the big boys the brand is known for— a Bobber Sixty, Chief, Super Chief, and Challenger.
On the Tuesday before Thanksgiving we strapped 50 frozen turkeys to the backs of our respective motorcycles, and then transported the slippery little buggers over the bridge to donate them en masse to the New York City Rescue Mission.
The Norton Commando was never intended to save the company. But it did just that, and 50 years later its name has left an indelible mark. Here’s a retrospective with detailed photos tracing the arc of this iconic motorcycle.
