The original Clash jacket silhouette is one of the most successfully asymmetrical production motorcycle jackets we’ve seen to date. This third iteration of this RSD standard retains the classic cut and styling of the original (which itself follows cues from 1950s jackets), but now it comes with a Certified CE AA safety rating.
The original Clash was among the first to take a classic “Perfecto” style asymmetrical silhouette and add integrated armor and a motorcycle specific fit, with plentifully long sleeves that are pre-rotated for riding, and a back-length that’s long enough to mind the gap when hauled over in an aggressive riding position.This now third iteration of the Clash (RIP Original version, and “Signature Version, with vents) is the first to come with full modern CE rating (AA).
Elasticated panels at the sides of the jacket ensure a comfortable fit, and a built-in leather half-belt on either side helps trim the jacket up as needed.
There are no vents to this jacket, but there are underarm breathers to help promote airflow, and also to help equalize pressure so the jacket doesn’t balloon with air while at speed.
Additional flair: check the steel rivets built into the elbows—this is an old school abrasion resistance trick to let the jacket slide (and not snag) on the pavement. Don’t slide for long or else those cool sparking rivets will heat up, although you ought to be fine even in a worst-case-scenario hot-spot slide, thanks to the included elbow armor and double-layer of leather at the elbows.
The Clash CE comes with Sas-Tec super-thin CE-1 elbow and shoulder armor included, and the back pad would normally set you back another $39.95, but we include it free with any full-price RSD jacket.

The Airborne leather spec, shared with this jacket’s cousin, the RSD Ronin CE Jacket, is soft to the touch and requires very little break in, and with use will age with the rider and develop a natural patina.
Additional features include a premium mesh liner that is moisture wicking and antimicrobial, YKK zippers throughout and super-thin CE Level 1 Sas-Tec shoulder and elbow armor.
