The Neotec II comes with a high-quality fiberglass shell and fastidious trim and paint work that we’ve come to expect from this premium Japanese helmet maker. The helmet sports a multi-density EPS liner under that lightweight/high-strength fiberglass exterior. 

The modular aspect is managed by a stainless steel mechanism that Shoei boasts is the best in the business. And after selling, servicing and riding in all the different modular on the market, we tend to agree. New with this generation of Modular from Shoei is a lock-up feature that will eliminate accidental "flip-downs" of the flip-up feature.

The 360 Pivot Locking System secures the chin bar in the down locked position via a sturdy stainless steel mechanism, and a multi-piece EPS liner made out of varying densities of foam absorbs impact energy. 

And if you’re planning on using a Bluetooth device, look no further. The Neotec II is designed to integrate with the Sena SRL2 Communication System for a clean and low profile installation. 

The Sena SRL II provides a factory-fit bluetooth headset for both the Shoei Neotec II modular as well as the Shoei GT-Air II full-face helmet. The Neotec II has three removable trim panels that pop off and can be replaced with the Sena SRL2, which stows completely out of sight for a true factory fit. 

Shoei used wind tunnel testing to refine the design, and the Neotec II gets a repositioned integrated shell spoiler to better reduce lift and drag at speed, while a new “Aero Deflector” along the chin bar adds stability.

A micro ratchet chin strap makes securing the helmet and removing the helmet quick and easy. And while on, a new noise-isolating cheek pad design improves the seal along the neck opening of the helmet to keep noisy turbulence at bay.

The devil is always in the details, and Shoei always nails it when it comes to interior pad systems. The head-liner and cheek pads are engineered from premium materials and come in a wide variety of incremental sizes for fine-tuning the fit. 

These helmets are a pleasure to wear day in and day out, thanks to their combination of plus anti-microbial materials that are perfectly pre-shaped for a comprehensive but still comfortable fit. 

And of course the pads are easily removable when it comes time to wash the interior. 

All of these features combine to make this the best modular money can buy.
