The Quad Lock Tripod Mount measures just 4 inches tall and about 1 inch wide, making it easy to stash in any camera bag.
The base of the unit is threaded for a 1 ¼”-20 tripod thread—the industry standard—and will work with any conventional monopod or tripod.
Like the Wall Mount, this device holds a corresponding Quad Lock Case (or any device equipped with a Universal Adaptor) via detents, not an actual “Lock” – so we don’t recommend mounting this to the hood of an off-road vehicle.
*For that, use the Quad Lock 1” Ball Mount with the blue locking lever, along with the proper RAM Mount accessories—extensions, handlebar mounts or suction cup adapters.
But for standard static tripod use, this Tripod Adapter is brilliantly simple and effective, and will help make easy work of long exposures, time lapse shots, or any variety of static shot.
