The Kit comes with a optional 50mm extension arm, which is ideal for mounting the bar clamp on the outside of one’s handlebar clamp, and then positioning the center of the phone smack-dab in the middle of the cockpit – which is preferred, so as not to cause the rider to have to look anywhere but straight down to see the phone along with the rest of the instruments.
Because both ends of the 50mm extension arm can be adjusted in fine increments a full 360 degrees, this handlebar setup makes it easy to dial in the perfect setup.
Upgrade note: We highly recommend using a Motorcycle Vibration Dampener accessory with this mount, as harsh vibrations from your motor can damage the image stabilization and/or optical zoom built into the latest crop of camera phones.
And an installation Note: If you need another plane of adjustment, check out the Knuckle Adapter, which can be mounted in-line with the Motorcycle mount (with or without the extension) to fine-tune the 3rd axis and get your phone position perfectly dialed.
