This L2 Ghost armor set (sold in pairs) is a true no-brainer — it fits into most standard pockets, offers Level 2 protection in a Level 1 form factor, and instantly levels up your protection factor.
We see this product best used in jeans, due to it's flat and flexible nature. In jeans it virtually disappears, and that's why we chose it as the base for our John Doe upgrade, wherein we have specific velcro sewn into the armor to retrofit it to any of our John Doe riding pants.
For jacket use, Ghose L2 is OK, but we prefer something with an anatomic molded elbow cup, such as the latest/greatest "Diablo Level 2," which due to its shape offers flexible and comfortable elbow protection in any jacket with a standard elbow armor pocket.
If we're being frank, the breathability claim is a little bogus, because no armor is really going to breathe very well. This set has micro flexible vents and comes with a full fabric backing, onto which the flexible triangular structure is 3D printed.
We think it's the best product on the market when it comes to low-profile armor limb armor.
As its name implies the Ghost L2 armor truly disappears, thanks to a nicely tapered edge and super pliable, flexible AF (TM) gooey D30 magic material.
At 11mm thick (see full dimensions pictured below), it's pretty much the same thickness of Level 1 original D3O Evo XT, or more vented LP1.
It comes in this Elbow/Knee profile, or a Shoulder/Hip version. Full specs are listed on the respective product pages.
And it's so good, light, and low-profile, that think we don't expect to sell much of the original L1 D30 Ghost armor.
