Offered in 6-, 12-, 18-, 22-, 32-, and now 38-liters, respectively, each OS bag is cross-compatible with other products in the range (eg: the tank bag adapter), and built with an even more rugged design spec than the already popular US series, which continues to be a best seller after more than 10 years in continuous production.
So why would Kriega want to rock the boat and come out with a modular bag series so close in spec to it’s longtime bestseller?
Because the demands off-road riding justified a new and purpose-built series of bags optimized to work on the ever-growing number of bikes in the dual-sport, Adventure and Enduro categories.
These bags work brilliantly on street bikes as well. And in fact we’ve found some riders prefer slightly cleaner and simpler mounting system—fewer buckles and straps, same great build quality and functionality.

This OS-38 is the biggest of the OS bags. It’s a generously sized, bulletproof saddlebag and can be used individually on one side of a bike, in pairs, or mixed and matched with other OS bags.
It mounts via a 4-point connection system and hypalon-reinforced Nylon webbing loops with quick-releasing alloy buckles. It can connect to a bike’s existing hard-case pannier rack, or via one of the universal mounting platform plates Kriega offers.
BMW GS 1200/1250 riders, for example, might choose to use an OS-38 on the non-exhaust side, and a thinner 22-liter OS-22 on the exhaust side, with a combination of a 16-20mm Universal Platform on one side, and the slick BMW GS specific exhaust-side mounting plate on the other.
The roll-top feature is secured by two quick-release side buckles, and a pair of overbuilt cam buckles help tension the cover down while they hold the bag in place.
- 38 liter capacity
- 100% waterproof liner
- Roll-top closure
- Semi-rigid wall panels retain shape when empty
- Ultra-abrasion resistant Hypalon strapping
- 1000D Cordura nylon body construction
- Aircraft grade alloy buckles
- 16 hook-on points
- Dimensions: 400mm H x 420mm W x 230mm D (15.7" H x 16.5" W x 9" D)
These roll-top fully waterproof bags feature semi-rigid walls that help the bags retain their shape even when not fully loaded. The pre-shaped bags also can be easier to load and generally are more robustly built than their “US” series counterpart in the Kriega lineup.
All the OS bags use Hypalon material, which lightweight and durable, ready to take the abuse of scrapes from dirt, rocks, and debris.
While not *as* universal as the US-Series of Kriega drybags, with the purchase of a simple loop strap set, the three smaller OS bags can easily mount to any standard street bike and be used as a very capable tail pack.
And the addition of an OS-Saddlebag Strap set helps turn any pair of 22-, 32- or 38-liter OS bags into a burly set of “throw-over” saddlebags that’ll work on any bike with a pre-existing rack for hard cases.
Kriega also offers a number of other solutions for creating purchase points for the bags to mount to. These range from OS-Loops and the OS-Base for dirt bike or enduro applications, up through a series of mounting plate “Platform” combinations that mount to existing luggage racks and let the user stack any combination of OS bags on like modular Legos.
