The Waymaster, along with the Convoy jacket, is a brand new design from Belsataff, released on the occasion of the brand’s 100th anniversary making waxed cotton motorcycle jackets.
Crafted from British Millerain 8oz technical waxed cotton that’s backed by a breathable/waterproof membrane, the Waymaster is designed to keep you dry while still retaining the ability to achieve some ventilation thanks to integrated vents. There are two intake vents at the upper arms, and two exhaust vents built into the back. All are mesh-backed (to keep bees out, and retain the jacket’s form and structural integrity, even while vents are open.
For colder weather riding, the Waymaster comes with integrated snaps to install an insulated Belstaff Climate Vest.
From a silhouette perspective, this jacket shares a chassis with the Crosby Jacket, but instead of four classic pockets it gets an asymmetrical three billows pockets, with the fourth being replaced by a vertical zippered chest pocket.
Subtle trim details distinguish the Waymaster from its siblings—like a neoprene rolled hem on the neck collar, and discrete reflective piping on the cuffs. Roll back those cuffs to reveal an elasticated inner storm cuff, which can but bypassed in warm weather and employed with a brass snap on cooler outings to keep drafts out at speed.
Like the rest of our latest stock of Belstaff motorcycle jackets, this one comes with a respectable AA CE rating, meaning that it comes with proper armor (4-piece complement of D3O at the elbows and shoulders; and a pocket for a back protector), and that the shell material, which has been reinforced with high tenacity nylon, passes certain abrasion tests.
