BMW Bike Show: Celebrating the Air-Cooled Classics

We pulled together a collection of BMWs to celebrate these bikes in all their factory-correct originality. From the outlier models like the R65LS, to the iconic G/S early adventure bikes, and primordial sport bike, the R90S, we had an array of models in the exhibition tracing the progression the groundbreaking /5 series in 1970, through the end of the airhead era in 1995. BMW never claimed these bikes to be the fastest or lightest or most powerful. Yet, we love the goofy old girls.

And since it’s October and we’re doing a German bike thing, it only makes sense to serve up sausage off the grill, with sauerkraut and pretzels on the side. And thanks to continued and generous event sponsorship from Sixpoint, we’ll all be washing down the meal while enjoying our favorite locally brewed beer.
