Besides the satisfying welded steel case, this kit is riddled with hidden features. The simple 1/4" screwdriver, for example, has a 1/4" socket built into it for added torque from the 52-toot socket wrench, or from the sliding T-bar. Or in a pinch the screwdriver itself can be used as an extension.
The sliding T-Bar is comprised of two dual duty components: a 3/8-to-1/4” socket, which has a pass-through for a 1/4" drive socket extension.
The rest of the items in this kit are just dead-simple, well made 1/4" sockets that include all the usual suspect screwdrivers (two flat; two Phillips), metric hex bits, and Torx bits. Plus a range of sockets up to 13mm.
The ratchet is made from CrV steel in one single forged piece. It’s been hardened and its design lets several of the 52 teeth engage simultaneously for transmitting extremely high torque. (within reason, for a 1/4" drive socket). The smart red quick release mechanism is easy to see, reach, and use.
Each 36pc Engineer’s Kit comes in a study powder-coated steel box has a well marked injected polypro organizer. The housing is oil and acid resistant, easy to clean, and impossible to destroy.
