This book benefits from ankle padding in the form of 3 to 5mm inlays of KLIM's lightweight XRD foam armor build into the ankle and positioned behind the tongue.
The boots also get an overbuilt toe counter with a reinforced rubber rand, a laterally stiff sole, and protection from the elements, via a bonafide Gore-Tex waterproof/breathable membrane.

The BOA ratcheting mechanism make ingress and egress a snap. Just pop the buckle out to release the tension, or crank it down tight with the twirl of a knob. On-the-fly tensions adjustments are easy to achieve one-handed, even with motorcycle gloves on.
KLIM built this boot with some very specifics features in mind, and they seemed to have done a good job checking the following boxes: peg support, discrete joint protection, exceptional walking comfort.
