And it's finally in stock! As of late February we've taken delivery of the first order of Hardanger suits. We have S-XL in-store in black and gray in standard sizes, with a few longs and shorts available now on a few days notice.

This is a big deal. To wit, judging by both its price tag, and by sheer size of the thing, it's literally about the biggest thing we sell. And at the same time, it's arguably the best bang for your buck.

Consider all the boxes it checks: It's an armored jacket. It's a pair of armored motorcycle pants. It's a rain gear. It's equally ready and capable of tackling winter and and summer conditions. It works for freeway speeds and for city commutes. Yes, even in New York, where the Hardanger is qualified to be any serious commuter's new best friend. Did we mention it comes in black?

It's also available in a higher-visibility gray, or tan—all of which are available in Short and Long options, ensuring just about any shape or size rider can find a great fit.

Most importantly, the Hardanger is ready for any adventure you can throw at it.

A burly two-way collar-to-pant-hem zipper makes stepping out of the Hardinger a 1-minute affair. After some practice, the Hardanger easily folds up into a medium sized bag, or just about any top case.

To address the gray one-piece elephant in the room: No, this product isn't for everyone. Yes, onesies can be polarizing. For many of us, the last time we wore one was a Spiderman pajamas with padded feet. But like fanny packs (have you seen the one from Klim?) the Hardanger is dorky in a redeemable, form-following-fucntion sort of way.

Will the Geeks inherit the Earth? Dunno, but with this suit they can certainly ride around it.

The suit is built from 3-layer Gore-Tex Pro Shell with reinforced high-denier Cordura overlays at the critical impact zones. It has 14 vents. Count-em – fourteen! Each one is mesh-backed to keep bugs out, and fitted with a heavy-duty (yet light sliding) waterproof zipper. Open them all up and feel the wind whipping through your onesie. Zip them all closed, layer appropriately underneath, and you’re ready for rain and cold.

Crash at any point along the way, and your ass is covered. Literally, with armor placed at the hips, knees, elbows, shoulders and back. All reinforced by the high-denier Cordura.

This Klim Hardanger suit is—without hyperbole—ready for anything.

It's aptly named after a rugged fjord-filled region in Norway, and it's made by a company that's no stranger to building high-performance complete suits. Klim's business has always been rooted in building gear for extreme conditions—think: ski mountain maintenance workers, and snowmobileers.

And as with all Klim products, this one is backed by the Klim Crash Protection Guarantee. Within 5-years of purchase, Klim will replace any garment involved in a crash at no cost. Seriously - just provide proof of purchase and a police report with pictures of the damaged gear, and Klim will make you whole again.

See size chart for full spec. Note: Long- and short options are trickling into Klim's own warehouse. If you need to order a long or short we would be happy to bring one in for you - just call the store or send an email to support@uniongaragenyc.com. Shorts get 2" less inseam over standards; Longs get 3" extra inseam.

*Gray suit model is 6'3", 42" chest. 190lbs. wearing a standard large. Scroll down for full tech specs. The black suit is worn by a not-a-model who is 6'2", 245lbs, wearing a XL standard that would be a lot more comfortable if it were an XL-Long.
