And the Rooster’s protective toe cap offers even more coverage than others in its class by smartly extending a little further down over that 5th metatarsal —known only as the pinky toe by those who've never had the misfortune of a diagnosed break.
Made from a Micro-Synth synthetic shell, the Rooster 2 is lightweight and long-wearing, and remarkably "leather-like" in appearance; except it won't dry out and require oiling like natural leather.
The Micro-Synth shell also helps shed water better than natural leather; and it's backed up by a "Hydra-Tex" waterproof/breathable membrane.
The boot comes with a molded hard-wearing rubber sole that is designed to last the lifetime of the boot.
Note: The side zipper is designed to be used in conjunction with the laces, not instead of the laces. This feature helps ease the process of getting boot on and off, but not untying the laces could result in damage to the zipper.
