Enter the Arai XD-5, which debuted for the 2024 season and uses a wisely redesigned face shield that readily accepts an Arai XLT120 XD-5 Pinlock Insert, which is inclued with every new helmet and sold separately.
The Vas A shield offers great peripheral vision, and makes the installation of an Arai XD-5 specific Pinlock XLT120 insert a complete no-brainer.
Note: We find the light-tint shield to be a great all-around option. It won't leave you blind if you're caught out riding at night, but offers a nice break from the glare of the noonday sun.
