Unlike the thickly waxed and totally unarmored jackets first worn by British trials riders in the 1950s and 60’s, all the jackets in the Pure Moto line come a four-piece D3O armor complement, with a pocket to add an optional back protector upgrade, too. Instead of relying on generous helpings of wax on heavy-duty canvas, this jacket is trimly cut from 6oz waxed-cotton that won’t wear off like the first Belstaff’s did. (Note: The Men’s Trialmaster is cut from thicker 10oz cotton). The shell is also backed by a seam-sealed Miporex waterproof membrane, for double wind and water repellency.

For spring and fall rides zip in the lux quilted liner, or ditch it completely for warmer weather.  Note the same smart touches as we’ve come to appreciate on our best-selling men’s version of this jacket—corduroy at the cuffs and collar, rubber coating on the lower two buttons to avoid scratching your tank, a stepped two-way zipper, and a trim, comfortable cut.
