So why would Kriega want to rock the boat and come out with a modular bag series so close in spec to it’s longtime bestseller?

Because the demands off-road riding justified a new and purpose-built series of bags optimized to work on the ever-growing number of bikes in the dual-sport, Adventure and Enduro categories.

These bags work brilliantly on street bikes as well. And in fact we’ve found some riders prefer slightly cleaner and simpler mounting system—fewer buckles and straps, same great build quality and functionality.

This OS-18 is the biggest in the three off-road oriented drybags offered in the OS range—the next stops up are the full-on saddlebag-sized OS-22 and OS-32. It features all the same bombproof Hypalon construction, water-tight inner taped-seam liner, and roll-top, non-negotiable waterproof closure as its smaller siblings. At 18 liters it's about as much as you'd want to sling onto the side of an off-road bike. It also mounts up nicely on half of a Kriega OS Platform, leaving the remaining half free to mount a RotoPax gas or water container.

Strongly consider picking up the accessory shoulder strap for this one, because you’ll be able to pack it full enough to make it awfully cumbersome to carry off-the-bike without one.

These roll-top fully waterproof bags feature semi-rigid walls that help the bags retain their shape even when not fully loaded. The pre-shaped bags also can be easier to load and generally are more robustly built than their “US” series counterpart in the Kriega lineup.

All the OS bags use Hypalon material, which lightweight and durable, ready to take the abuse of scrapes from dirt, rocks, and debris.

While not *as* universal as the US-Series of Kriega drybags, with the purchase of a simple subframe loop set (which comes included with US-series drybags), the three smaller OS bags (06, 12, 18L) can easily mount to any standard street bike and be used as a very capable tail pack.

Kriega also offers a number of other solutions for creating purchase points for the bags to mount to. These range from OS-Loopsand the OS-Basefor dirt bike or enduro applications, up through a series of mounting plate “Platform” combinations that mount to existing luggage racks and let the user stack any combination of OS bags on like modular Legos.
