The 2019 Distinguished Gentleman's Ride
The NYC ride is just one of 137 different rides happening around the United States on the same day. Globally there are tens of thousands of riders participating in more than 100 countries.
Industry City generously offered up an entire cobblestone city block as a meet-up spot—located right out Maglia Rosa Café, which opened early to serve up coffee and breakfast bites to fuel the ride.

As part of the gag we offered free professional portraits for all registered riders. And as an incentive to get serious about fundraising we encouraged all riders participating to rack up at least $100—or about double the ride's average fundraising total.

If you’re not already familiar with it, the DGR is an annual global charity ride benefiting prostate cancer research and men’s mental health causes.

Last but not least - a huge thanks to photographer Ethan Covey who lugged his camera gear and lighting setup to Industry City to snap a couple hundred photos with us!

If you're not familiar with this event, it works like this: You sign up at gentlemansride.com, you raise funds by crowd-sourcing from your local network. Then on the last Sunday in September, you don your most dapper duds and join in a parade route around New York City, with up to 700 other like-minded individuals. All proceeds are channeled through the Movember foundation, which in turn funds a variety of men's health initiatives ranging from cancer research and awareness advocacy, to suicide prevention.
There are a few days left to contribute if you haven't already. Find out more at Gentlemansride.com
