This sidecar linocut design comes from Austin, Texas, by way of freelance illustrator Denton Watts. We first met Denton when he bought a pair of Stylmartin Indian boots and deerskin gloves from us last summer. Obviously a man of good taste, we began following @Dentonwatts' portfolio stream on Instagram, and quickly inquired about coming up with a design specifically for the shop.
Denton says he prefers linocut because the medium forces him to stay flat and simple, yet still have the chance to produce striking, dynamic images. Some attempts work better than others, and Denton says he got lucky with this one. We agree. And you can too while supplies last.
These hoodies are silk-screened right here in Brooklyn on Next Level brand soft cotton t-shirts, and include the Union Garage custom label printed inside the collar.
