The elasticated knee panel provides great mobility, while the easy in/out action of the knee armor into the open pocket makes these pants extra easy to wear. This modern take on a riding jean puts the functionality right-out front. And honestly with all the heritage inspired product on the market, the nouveau-SWAT approach is refreshing.
The Motorpool knee armor is externally removable, slotting into a wide open pocket that hinges around the knee. Hip armor goes into interior pockets, and its anatomical Left- Right-specific shape to help it fit comfortably while riding. Knee armor slips in and out of the pants w/out needing to disrobe, which makes it easy to ditch the knee armor once you reach your destination, and just as easy to slide it back in when you get back on the bike.
The elasticated panels above the knee, and at the back of the jeans, help provide extra flex and mobility while riding.
Cut from heavyweight 11-ounce denim with a little bit of stretch, this slim-straight riding jean is easy to wear all day long. If you're not into the cargo pockets, check out the staff-favorite Featherbed K model.
Previously the Motorpool with Kevlar was only offered in olive green, but now they're also available in never-out-of-style herringbone black. We currently don't stock the standard cotton Motorpool pant. While it is probably sufficient for most slow-speed city riding, nobody rides motorcycles to go slow, and because we'd always rather err on the more protective side, we highly recommend a Kevlar-backed version instead.
Sure, the Kevlar reinforcement might make it a few degrees warmer in the middle of summer, but we’d rather suffer that than the discomfort of healing a road-rashed posterior. And as a fall riding pant these pants are primo.
As a bonus feature, thanks to a centrally located reinforced triple belt loop, these pants work great with the REVIT Safeway belt.
