Yet it’s not too butch-y, either. Instead of a small-sized men’s boot, it’s women’s specific, built on a whole different last than TCX’s men’s boots.
The full-grain leather is plenty thick, and it manages a nice combination of classic biker boot looks with everyday walkability and motorcycle functionality. A gusseted side-zip makes it easy to get off and on, and a sturdy tread and 3.5cm-high heel delivers confidence when putting a foot down at the light, or muscling the bike around a parking spot.
Note the chamfered edges of the tread, which give the Parkway a softer profile without taking away any functionality or grip.
Like TCX’s other boots, when you see a “waterproof” tag you k now it’s going to be legitimately waterproof. Also like TCX’s other moto boots the Parkway carries a CE-Certification, meaning it passes a certain battery of side-crush and sole adhesion tests. As a bonus, it also has protective discs at the interior and exterior ankle, and a protective toe cap and heel cup for added strength.
A stiff shank from the heel to the mid-foot provides crucial support, but the boot will still flex naturally so it doesn’t feel like walking in a ski boot.
The official name from Italy for this model is the “Lady Biker Boot,” but we felt something got lost in the translation and it deserved something a little less generic, so we took the liberty of renaming it. Meet the Parkway Boot. It’s pretty great.
Available in sizes 35-42 (equivalent of women’s U.S. 4-9.5)
