The J& Dyneema jeans pair everyday looks with slide-resistant shell packed with CE-Certified “Warrior Lite” knee and hip armor comes. The armor is held in place via a lightweight mesh comfort liner, which helps the rider wick moisture and reduce chaffing even after long hours in the saddle. Low-slung pockets help keep the rider comfortable, too, by eliminating pinch points between rider and saddle.

Dyneema is a leading brand of ultra-high-molecular-weight-polyethylene,UHMWPE for short. This is the latest and greatest tech fabric that, boiled down to its essence, wears like Levis but slides like leather. It’s a claimed 15 times stronger than steel, and up to 40-percent stronger than aramid fiber pound for pound

But what’s with the name? Rewind to 1994—when Spidi first introduced a Kevlar-backed riding jean dubbed the J & K = Jeans, + Kevlar. Get it?

Fast-forward to the present day, and while there are plenty of companies still making Kevlar lined jeans (we carry what we think are the best of the breed), the future of riding jeans is in single-layer abrasion resistant fabrics.

Cotton or Cordura denim that’s reinforced with an internal layer of Kevlar, or other generic aramid-type fiber, results in an effective but sometimes bulky product that can be uncomfortably warm for summer riding.

With a cut that’s on-point—not too loose and not exactly skinny—there’s little to dislike about these premium riding jeans.

  • 13oz Dyneema/cotton blend
  • Slim (not skinny) fit – somewhere between a 501 and 511
  • Low slung rear pockets for comfortably sitting on a bike
  • Generous rear rise for ample coverage in a range of riding positions
  • Adjustable-height knee protector
  • High cut-, tear-, burst-, and abrasion-resistant cotton-Dyneema fabric

Washing instructions: Wash by hand below 40C/104F; Hang to drying - Iron at maximum sole plate temperature 110C/230F. Do not dry clean or wring dry.
