Suffice it to say, this is a wholly capable armored, insulated, and Gore-Tex-waterproof winter glove.
The longer version of that story is that it’s a “fusion” of seemingly every trademarked glove technology known to man. Seriously, it’s hard to count the number and nature of technical materials that go into this Fusion GTX recipe, but we’ll try for an outline anyway.
From the moment you slip on these gloves, it’s apparent that they mean business. The inside is lined with a comfy high-loft faux fur, and like other Revit gauntlets it employs a clever cuff design that offers single-handed fastening and unfastening.
The glove’s shell is a medley of 500-denier textile with a goatskin palm, reinforced with Revit’s “Powershield” – an abrasion resistant layer not unlike a Kevlar or other aramid.
And the whole glove guards from wind and rain with a genuine Gore-Tex liner, the industry leading waterproof/breathable membrane of choice.
This technological wonder doesn’t stop there, though. There’s also a layer of lightweight but heavy duty insulation. Revit calls this magic fluff “THERMOLITE® Plus Insulation with Exkin® Platinum®.” Don’t try to say that ten times fast, but short story is that it offers even more oomph than the standard-bearer 3M Thinsulate Revit and many other brands use on other, often lower-priced insulated gloves.
In the protection department, the Fusion is no slouch. On top, a sturdy armor guard covers the knuckles, and protective foam TPU panels dot the digits. On the palm reinforced leather overlays and a polycarbonate palm slider offers valuable abrasion resistance.
Throw in a visor wiper, touchscreen friendly fingertips, and, basically, the kitchen sink, and there’s little left to want for in a winter glove.Suffice it to say, this is a wholly capable armored, insulated, and Gore-Tex-waterproof winter glove.
