The first thing to note about this glove is that even though it has a Gore logo on the tag, this isn’t a Gore-Tex waterproof product. Instead, it uses Gore *Windstopper, a distinctly different branded technology that—you guessed it—keeps wind from coming through and chilling your hands.
While it’s nominally water resistant, this glove is really best thought of as an in-between option. If you’ve got heated grips and/or hand guards, the Inversion pro offers just the right combination of wind-proofing and dexterity to enjoy late fall and early spring rides without losing feel at the controls like some winter gauntlets force you to.
Basically, think of the Inversion pro as a lightweight, easy-to-wear summer glove—but for cooler weather. It’s easy to wear, super comfortable, and not encumbered by a lot of waterproof membranes or insuilation.
And because it’s made by Klim, they’re built fairly bullet proof. Impact foam on the knuckles and across the digits provides good protection without hindering movement. The Gore Windstopper material on the top of the glove helps keep your hand protected from the elements, and a sturdy goatskin palm provides dexterity and abrasion resistance.
Like all Klim gloves, the fingers are touchscreen compatible.
