How to use:

Step 1: Wipe visor vertically to clean and remove bugs

Step 2: Buff wet surface until dry. Use a clean microfiber or a previously-used dried out Cycle Wipe.

Important: For best results, buff out the clean, soapy surface of your shield while still damp. Otherwise it will leave spots! Buff to a shine.

If you’re going to give your helmet the full spa treatment it deserves, consider a complete at-home kit like the Muc-Off Helmet Care Kit, with its years' supply of polycarbonate-safe cleaning solution, a microfiber, a sanitizing foam spray for a full pads-out reconditioning.

But nobody wants to lug a full-size spray bottle on a road trip. Cue Cycle Wipes – a resalable packet of 12 wet wipes specially formulated for motorcycle visors, plastics, headlights and turn signals.

We’ve been looking for a product like Cyclewipes for years, and thanks to longtime rider David Swezey, now we have it

Swezey developed and launched this product after a long tenure managing motorcycle shops in the Pacific Northwest and putting big miles on his BMWs and KTMs.

Before all that, his first job as a teenager at a private airfield, where he was tasked with cleaning the polycarbonate windshields of small aircraft.

Swezey says he learned quickly the importance of safely and effectively cleaning those windshields—the same concept as a motorcycle shield. Like how certain solvents melt right through certain plastics—the perfect solution for cleaning glass can destroy a polycarbonate shield. He picked up important technique, too. For example, always clean with a vertical motion, because the eye will track a horizontal scratch, but vertical marks more easily go unnoticed.

Years later that experience informed his starting of Cycle Wipes—a product that works beautifully as a combination of materials and soap/alcohol formula, and proper technique.

The devil is always in the details, and if used incorrectly it’s easy to end up with a soap-splotched shield. Watch the videos below—one of which is an unpaid endorsement from none other than accomplished motorcycle world tourer Helge Pedersen.

  • Packet fits easily in a back pocket or tank bag
  • Individual sheets measure 8in x 4.5in
  • Soap and water and alcohol
  • Non-ammonia based cleaning

Note: Cycle Wipes are not recommended for visor inserts like Pinlock or Iridium visors due to their softness and/or sensitivity.
