If you’re looking for an Alaska-grade winter glove, look elsewhere—either at some of our heated gear, or at our reigning winter-weight champ, the REVIT Taurus GTX. But if you’re looking for a versatile waterproof, protective gauntlet for spring, fall, and even light summer use, look no further.

Built from a combination of durable stretch poly-textile and leather it offers a great blend of abrasion resistance and overall impact protection. It’s also backed with a “Drystar” membrane, which is Alpine’s in-house Gore-Tex—think: waterproof, breathable, significantly less expensive than an official Gore-Tex equipped glove. It’s also got a layer of 100g Thinsulate insulation on the top of the hand to insulate from the wind-chill exposure of winter riding, and its soft velour lining throughout makes it a pleasure to slide into.

A sturdy EVA foam knuckle protector and AStar’s patented sewn-together pinky/ring finger combination are two big checkmarks in the safety category. As is the double-stitched TPR thumb-and-palm panel, which offers great durability plus added grip.

A wide Velcro cuff closure ensures easy entry and extend coverage—closing over the sleeve of any jacket to hermetically seal out water.  Plus a second closure cinch around the wrist keeps the glove soundly in place in event of a crash.

Pre-curved finger construction helps prevent cramping or discomfort. Throw in some reflective detailing for extra visibility while riding at night, and touch-screen compatible fingertips, and it’s really pretty hard to go wrong with this glove.
