Unlike its counterparts from Shoei and Arai, which are made in Japan, the AGV is produced in China, and it sort of shows. The helmet’s exterior paint is primo; however the fit and finish come in just a half-step behind the competition; however the weight advantage is undeniable.
At just 2.95lbs for a medium-small size, it’s almost 3/4lb lighter than the Shoei RF-1400.
The only helmet we have that's lighter is the bare-bones retro Bell Bullititt Carbon, which tips the scale at 2.82lbs, for a medium. That's not really a fair comparison though as the K6 gets modern amenities, like aerodynamic intent, functional vents and a Pinlock-equipped shield.
