Combining advanced protection with a refined urban aesthetic, the Horizon motorcycle jacket is designed for female riders who want technical performance without sacrificing style.
Quite literally the little sister to Aether’s Skyline jacket, the Horizon delivers the same versatile performance that’s made that jacket a favorite around the shop. It’s cut from the same extra-tough Japanese Field Nylon that provides the same discreet off-the-bike casual appearance as the Skyline, while still offering decent abrasion resistance at speed.
Also like the Skyline, the Horizon comes equipped with a full five-piece D3O armor complement—Level 1 Evo XT Shoulder and Elbows, and a Level 1 Viper ST back protector.
With proper layers (or a heated vest or jacket liner) the Horizon can be stretched into four-season service, but it’s best suited as a three-season jacket starting that excels in spring, survives summer with generous pit zips and back vents, and easily extends into fall with its rugged wind- and waterproof shell.
Thoughtful details abound with the Horizon. All its seams are sealed, its interior is lined with a comfort mesh, it has a discreet cellphone pocket built into one arm, and it has zippered hip gussets for optimum fit while seated. Because, well, hips.
The Horizon is perhaps best used as a city jacket, where its sturdy shell is more than enough for most city-speed incidences, and where a toned-down fit and finish help the wearer blend into everyday life. In a nice touch the jacket also gets reflective paneling at the back panel of the neck and in its piping along the sleeves—all of which looks to be matte black during the day but lights up when hit with a light at night.
NOTE: this jacket has been discontinued. We have 1 left! It will not be coming back into stock, which is a shame because it's a fantastic piece. Its replacement isn't half bad either - check out the Aether Chase jacket.
