The Pacific 2 H20 gets a couple key upgrades over the original that easily justify the $10 price hike. It’s long knee-to-shoulder zipper has been upgraded to a YKK model for better longevity, and it’s reflective striping has duly been upgraded to genuine 3M Scotchlite material. It also gets stirrups to help keep the hem from riding up over the boot-line. And where the High-Visibility option in the old suit mixed in panels of black material, the new Pacific 2 is now entirely made from REVIT’s hard-to-miss High-Viz neon. Every little bit of visibility counts when you’re being viewed as a tiny blip between a driver’s swooshing windshield wipers.

The Pacific 2 also gets a handy inside stash pocket—but if you’re going through a downpour we always recommend a doubly redundant $0.20 Ziplock bag as backup.

Like all REVIT rain gear the Pacific 2 suit is made from PVC-Free polyester with a PU coating. It’s 100 percent waterproof with some degree of breathability, so it wan’t get as clammy as an old school PVC coated material. It’s also durable, lightweight, seam-sealed—and easy to fit into the bottom of any bag.

One could make an argument for going with a two-piece setup. It’s nice to be able to wear the jacket on it’s own as a destination rain layer while on a trip. And between the Cyclone and Nitric options from REVIT, and a more affordable entry from Nelson-Rigg, we’ve got you covered if you decide to go that route.

But when you really need to stay dry from the rain you’re going to need to be fully suited on way or the other, so the one-piece rain suit certainly has its place. This Pacific 2 is easy to get into, lightweight and extremely well-built, and ready for years of use.
