Carhart and Levi’s had an armor-ready love child, and its name is Bronson.

This brilliantly simple jean jackets features a front-zip closure and storm flap behind the classic buttons, a comfortable cut designed with the needs of a motorcyclist in mind, and a snap-down leather collar—and you only have to get flayed in the face by an unsecured collar flapping in the wind to appreciate that detail.

Speaking of being flayed, the silicone-wash 10.5oz denim is both tough and soft, but this like many armor-equipped jackets with un-reinforced cotton-based shells are best utilized for slower-speed/urban/maybe-country-road applications. The shell will offer nominal abrasion resistance, but the armor will help in the initial part of a crash. Even this jacket's sibling, the 18-ounce cotton duck Ramone, is still a cotton based fabric w/out any miracle material, Kevlar, etc. For the potential of dismounting a motorcycle at any sort of highway speed we strongly recommend riding with as much protection as you can handle.

But because you’re not always (or ever) going to want to wear race leathers to work or around town, the Bronson has a legitimate place and is a great value for the money.

Thanks to rotated, pre-curved sleeves and a bi-swing back this jacket promises unrestrained fit while on the bike.

Like all Roland Sands Design jackets this one comes sans armor, but with pockets to fit the optional (and highly recommended) RSD 5-piece armor kit.
