LS2’s 3/4 open-face helmet comes absolutely jam-packed with features, especially considering the $99 price point. It’s like a Kia or Hyundai luxury sedan with all the features of a Benz or Beemer, but at a fraction of the cost.
The helmet is offered in four classy colors (and a handful options we don’t stock), all of which come with a plush anti-microbial liner skinned with quality brown pleather lining. More than just another crude brain bucket, the LS2 swaddles the wearer’s head in safety with a four-point retention system, a soft fleecey chin strap and quick-release ratcheting buckle for easy in-and-out. We admittedly rolled our eyes at the mention of a “four-point retention system,” but on close inspection that’s exactly what this helmet comes with. The OF569’s chin-strap is cleverly looped through a harness that secures the back of the helmet securely around the crown of the head.
The optically correct flip-down shield is easily removable without tools and offers a huge peripheral field of view for heads-up city riding. And if all that’s not enough, this little helmet also has an easy to use spring-loaded Top Gun sun shield that can be deployed and retracted in an instant.
