These full-gauntlet Velcro equipped gloves fit securely with almost any jacket and promise to quickly become the best gloves you've ever owned. Constructed from 2.75-plus-ounce deerskin palm with a 4-plus-ounce elkskin backing, DeersSports are more supple, more abrasion-resistant and offer more dexterity than cowhide. For an added measure of safety both the seamless palm and the top knuckle area are treated with an double layer of material. The whole package is held together with dual-duty thread, which provides remarkably strong seams that won't cut through leather like Kevlar thread.
Improving on the already stellar standard-issue DeerSports, these PCI-equipped gloves come with an Outlast phase-change material liner, which gives them an ultra-wide temperature range—from 35 to 75 degrees. When your hands are cold, the liner acts like insulation and keeps heat in. Although these are certainly best used as a cooler weather glove, they do alright in warmer weather too. When your hands get hot, it acts as a heat sink and pulls heat away. And when used with heated grips the material pulls the heat from the grips and distributes it around the hand—which addresses a major fault with many insulated gloves on the market, which actually insulate the rider from the heat of the grips.
These gloves can be periodically hand-washed with Woolite or a mild detergent and then air dried, which will ensure they stay soft and pliable. Don't be surprised for a single pait to last for years on end—and these gloves tend to just get better with age as they form completely to your hand. Available in black-and-tan or all black color options, in sizes ranging from XXS through XXL. All Lee Parks gloves run big, so make sure to consult the size chart to get the right fit.
