This Saturday, August 19, organizers Girard Fox and Tim Warner will open the gates to “The Lot” in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, for a refreshingly simple sort of motorcycle show. This free event runs from 2pm through midnight and will feature food trucks, live bands, local beer, and a sprawling array of pre-1983 bikes inside the fence—including, perhaps, yours?
Matias Corea and Joel Estopa left Brooklyn back in October bound for the end of the earth—Ushuaia, Argentina. Their two mid-80’s BMW R80 G/S’s have so far fared brilliantly, with 14,000 miles down and another 6,000 to go. One of the bikes even recently survived a spectacular high-side crash in Boliva. We phoned up our favorite Spanish Evel Knievel impersonator to get an update.
When Bell’s new Bullitt helmet debuted at the AIME Expo back in October it quickly ricocheted around the internet and instantly became an object of desire for the ever-growing number of vintage bike enthusiasts. Unfortunately, the Bullitt won’t be available until the spring, so until then all we can do it talk about it.
