Rokker Pop-Up Shop Launches with Cookout This Saturday at Noon

Posted in: Events

We’re excited to welcome The Rokker Company as the next tenant of the 103 Union Street Pop-Up Shop, where we’ll be featuring the company’s full catalog of riding jackets, jeans and boots. It all kicks off this Saturday (10/7) at noon, when we take the paper off the storefront windows and light off the charcoal grills.

This special build-out will run for 9 days straight, right through the following weekend. But for the best selection, and for the opening-day cookout event, do your best to get here this Saturday. We’ll have food coming off the grill between 12-3PM, all courtesy of Rokker.

Rokker is a Swiss brand that’s made its name producing heritage-quality jeans, boots and jackets. The company’s designs all are manufactured in Europe using high-tech materials and D3O armor to deliver some of the best and most well-built products in their class. This pop-up will provide a unique opportunity to see all that the company offers—both men’s and women’s styles—in one place at the same time. We’ve been big fans of the company’s plain black riding Chino—a super sturdy abrasion resistant motorcycle pant that can sneak into the office, a bar or a nice restaurant as well as they’ll survive a slide on asphalt.

The secret to this superpower lies in discreet styling blended with a proprietary material spec Rokker developed working with its compatriots at Schoeller, a global leader in textiles also based in Switzerland. These chinos are fairly indestructible, extremely versatile (especially now that we’re in the cool embrace of fall) and are built for years of abuse.

The same material is used to make the Rokker Black Jacket—a classic jean style jacket with outsized performance capabilities that comes fully loaded with a 5-piece D3O armor kit.
While we currently only stock a couple of Rokker products, that’s about the change drastically from 10/7-15.

If black Chinos aren’t your thing Rokker is brining its whole range of high-end riding jeans—with designs and materials that’ll satisfy the most ardent denim aficionado, and all without compromising safety. Its boots are something to behold too. Think “Red Wing Iron Rangers,” but with literally twice the weight, and multiple times the protection.

We’ll follow up next week with an online version of the pop-up, but if you can make it down this Saturday the weather is looking clear and crisp and it should be a great day on Union Street.
